This is one of the short and sweet trek in Ladakh known as Apricot valley trek, starts from Likir, about 60km. west From Leh.There is a Beautiful Monastry The monastery is located on top of a hill alongside the valley of river Indus.The trekking trail crosses Numerous beautiful traditional ladakhi villages.you will have great chance to experience ladakhi way of life and meet local family.

1. Delhi – Leh: Early morning flight, Less than 2 hours.Airport pick up and Transferred to Hotel Leh is the fascinating capital of Ladakh. Mountains dominate the landscape around the Leh as it is at an altitude of 3,500m.to avoid Mountain
sickness you need full day rest. Acclimatization is important before trekking.

2. Visit Leh & Monastries: Full day sightseeing covering famous Monastries of Indus Valley ,such as Hemis Monastry,Thiksay Monastry,Shay Palace and Main Bazar.

3 .Leh – Likir – Yangthang (3630m.), it’s 10 kms and 4-5 hours of walk. After the breakfast you will be driven to Likir by taxi, it’s about 60km. Likir  3650m.)Village is the starting point or Trek.visit Likir Monastry,30-40 Minutes of climb.From Monastry route heads west up to Phobe La  (3580m.)than down to Sumdo village. From Sumdo route heads steadily
Upwards to Chagatse La(3630m.).Don’t forget to carry water and hat,there is no water on the way, it’s hot dry. village is just few minutes  down from The Pass ,home stays are nearby river.The Ridzong  monastery lies south Of Yangthang village, about an hour of walking but trail is bit difficult.

4. Yangthang – Hemis sukpachen ( 3600m.)8km, 2-3 hours of walk. Short and gentle walk,cross Tsermangchen la (3750m.), Green Village with some old cedar trees.There are several sparkling streams In this village.this large village is surrounded by colorful rocky Mountains.Home stays are about 10 minutes dow from Maintrail.for The rest of day explore the village.

5.Him sukpachen – Ang(3450m.)10km. about 3 hours of walk.Leave village and  Proceed towards Ang via Maptek La (3750), gentle climb climb to the Pass.From the pass trail follows narrow gorge to Ang,it’s a charming  Village with apricot gardens and barley filds. 6.Ang –Leh , Take bus or jeep to Leh , 4 hours drive. on the Leh  Leh – Srinagar High way.

7.Depart for Delhi by the morning flight. If you like Adventure travel ,you can drive  Manali or Srinagar (The road journey is covered in two days with an  Over Night halt at Sarchu (which lies on the Leh-Manali high way)  r Kargil (which lies on the Leh Srinagar High way).
