Sailung/IP trail trek is non touristic route, recently open, offers splendid views of Himalayan ranges with Manasulu, Langtang, Gaurishankar rowalling and Everest range. Not only for Himalayan views, diverse culture, agriculture terraces, encountered with more than ten ethnic peoples and their culture with Buddhism and Shamanism practice. Sailung words derived from Tamang, "Sai means hundred Lung mean windy hiils"Tamang and Majhis IP dominated region, Tamang practice the Buddhism and Shamanist Bon culture but Majhis practice the Animism. Majhi's traditional occupation is fishing, boat building and river transportation services so that they have intimate relationship with river.
Program of trek

Day 1 - Kathmandu - Mude (2335m)By bus or car/jeep, 4 hours drives
Day 2 - Mude - Kholakharka (2950m.) this is seven hours walk in the village and forest. From kalopani trail climb gently up to Sailung Hill. You can have view of Gaurishankar himal, Numbur  and so Many peaks. On the way you can see the different kind of people and their  culture, Stupa etc. overnight in community lodge(home stay)

Day 3 - Kholakharka- Surke(1850m.) It is the 5 hours walk. After having breakfast you have to descend  up to Tindhara via Rajbhir Gompa. You could visit this gompa.Surke is the village of Newari  people.Overnight in home stay.

Day 4 - Surke - Doramba(2025m.) This is the 5/6 hours trek to Doramba. At the beginning you have to ascend than flat and down. You can see Tamang people and their unique culture tradition  and life style. This is big and beautiful village. You can visit the village and monastery.  Overnight in home stay.

Day 5 - Doramba- Bethan/Dogma(1980) After 6/7 hours ascend and level walk walking you will arrive in Bethan . This is also Tamang's village .you can see also the Tamang culture here. 

Day 6 - Dogma/Bethan - Arubot (950m.) this is 6/7hours walk. This area is the little hot and low  altitude.In Arubot you can see the Maji's culture as well as tamang. You will have superb view  of Sunkoshi River. Overnight in Home stay.

Day 7 - Arubot - Rest day (To see the Tamang culture program and visit the tamang village. If you have instrument to fishing you can do it.You can see here Bonpo and their activities. You can extend this trek to Timal . From Arubot another trek trail start is called "Buddhism Master Trail". 

Day 8 - Arubot - Kathmandu :one hour climbing in the morning tha take bus to Kathmandu. You can take alternative route along Sunkoshi River which is one of the famous rivers in Nepal.
