Nepal is very well known for the Mountain and mountaineering, it’s paradise for mountain climbers and peak climbing in Nepal is a fascinating dream for many mountain climbers. Mountain climbing became popular in Nepal when Mt. Everest was scaled by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and sir Edmond Hillary in 1953.The Himalayan arc extends about 2400km. and 885km. of this extent is in Nepal.There 8 peaks above 8000m. out of 14 highest peaks in the world , (officially) and in total there are 1310 highest peaks of 6000m. Now there are 33 minor peaks opened for Alpine climbing under Nepal mountaineering Association and rest Big Mountains are controlled by Ministry of tourism. Here are some of most famous trekking peaks.
Island Peak (6189m).

Island Peak (Imja-tse) is one of the most famous climbing peak in Nepal, it’s situated in the heart of Everest region. Technically it’s not so difficult, you can enjoy a lot while climbing this peak ,it provides most spectacular scenery of Everest Himalayan range , such as Nuptse , Lhotse , Makalu , Amadablam ….

The Pisang peak is located in the Annapurna, the path of the great trek around Annapurna. it is a most popular "trekking peak" in the Annapurna region and a beautiful peak between the massifs of Annapurnad and Manaslu.This most popular trekking peak is situated in Annapurna region, near the massif of Manaslu.this peak can be climbed easily and can be combined with Annapurna trekking trail. This peak is considered one of the technical climbing peaks among of the climbing peaks in Nepal.

The west chulu is located in Annapurna region (on the path of the great trekking route of the world) Near Manang which is one of the finest and most authentic way village. the Chulu West Peak offers an interesting peak climbing opportunity for those looking for an adventure in the Annapurna Region and provides spectacular mountain views.

Yala peak (5500m.)
Duration: 12 days

Difficulties: Easy to Medium

Yala peak is situated in the valley of Langatng ,north from Kathmandu near border of Tibet.This is one of the easy and lowest trekking peak of Nepal,(5500m.) but good physical fitness is required to climb this.last 500m. on ice so you may need ice axe, rope and crampons. From the summit of Yala peak you can see great view of Shisapangma (8013m., highest peak of china), langtang lirung, Ganesh himala, naya kanga,gangchenpo… From Katmandu you drive to Syabrubesi,(6-7hours) and after four days trekking you can reach Yala Peak.

Nayakanga peak is also situated in Langtang valley near China border.it's an attractive peak but technically difficult, it requires well mountain traning and physical fitness. The Langtang valley is surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks. It has become famous ever since the British mountaineer Bill Tilman described it in the mid of 20th century as the most beautiful valley in the world.The normal route for Naya Kanga peak climibng is North - East Face & North Ridge. from kathmandu it takes 4 days to reach there .
