This wondeful trek close to Katmandu offers a wide variety of landscapes : Himalaya with its high peaks, wild forests, yaks pastures, sacred lakes, monasteries, ethnic villages. It requires a good physical condition and a good trekking experience.

Programme of Trekking
Day 01: Katmandou – Dhunche (1950m.) about 7 hours by local bus.

Day 02: Dhunche - Syabru ((2175m.) 4 hours walk. Visit of Syabru monastery. View of Ganesh Himal and Langtang.

Day 03: Syabru – Lama hotel (2400m.)5 hours walk in Langtang valley

Day 04: Lama hotel - Langtang (3500m.) 5 hours walk. Forest, huge village with yakmilk dairy,Small baker and yak pastures.

Day 05: Langtang – Kyanjin gompa (3850m.) about 3 hours walk. Last village of the high valley. A big dairy and an old monastery.

Day 06: Kyanjin gompa : exploration of Kyanjin Ri (4700m.) or Tsergo Ri (5020m.) or ascensionof north moraine. Very beautiful view of Langta Lirung (7245m.), Geng chenpo (6310m.), Naya kanga (5800m.) and Ganja la pass

Day 07: Kyangjin Gompa – Lama hôtel (2400m.) : 5 hours descent

Day 08: Lama hotel – Syabru (2175m.) : 5 hours climb

Day 09: Syabru – Sing gompa (3300m.) : 5-6 hours walk. Climb across a forest. View of Ganesh  Himal, Langtang and Paldor. Visit of monastery and dairy of Sing gompa.

Day 10: Sing gompa – Gosaikund (4265m.) : about 5 hours walk. Extraordinary view of high summits and plateau. Superb lakes (often snow-covered during winter and sprind)

Day 11: Gosaikund - Ghopte (3400m.) : 5-6 hours walk . Lauribina pass (4609m.)panoramic  views. The path is a bit difficult.

Day 12: Ghopte – Melamchigaun (2530m.) : 5 hours walk. Village with famous monastery.

Day 13: Melamchigaun – Tarke ghyang (2590m.) : 4 hours walk. Sherpa Village .Monastery.

Day 14: Tarke ghyang – Kakani (1800m) : 6 hours walk. Superb belvedere.

Day 15: Kakani - Melamchipul Bazar : 2 hours walk. Descent to Melamchipul bazar then back
to Katmandu by local bus.
